Hailing from Usui, Mako Satou is the driver of the Usui combination; Sayuki is her co-driver/navigator (just like in the WRC). Driving a blue Nissan SilEighty, the duo are the fastest in their hometown and first make their appearance in Akina at Keisuke and Takumi's race.Mako met Iketani of the Speed Stars when her Daihatsu Mira broke down; Iketani helped to fix it and she gave him her name and telephone number. Iketani was smitten by her and told everyone at the gas station where he worked about the girl he met (and made everyone sick ^_-). Later Iketani introduced Mako to his friends from the Speed Stars. Then during one night where Iketani and the rest of the Speed Stars were driving, Iketani lost his concentration and his car spun; a blue SilEighty coming from the other direction fortunately managed to stop just in time. Sayuki opened the window and asked Iketani to move aside. When the cars passed by each other, both Mako and Iketani were surprised to see the other and drove away without a word. To make it short, the Usui duo issues a challenge to Takumi to race in their hometown; Takumi has to start behind them and he has to overtake their car before the end of the stretch of the road to win...
