INTRODUCTION
Created by Kosuke Fujishima, the creator of the hit anime series Taiho Shicauzo! or You're Under Arrest, the éX-Driver series takes place in the not-too-distant future where due to exhaustion of fuel, all cars are electrically powered. All vehicles are operated by AI, or Artificial Intelligence; people no longer know nor need to know how to drive, and accidents are unheard of - thanks to AI. Trouble begins when the AI cars start malfunctioning - and the system simply cannot be turned off without causing a major breakdown in the transportation system. To help solve the problem of runaway AI cars, a group of people who still knew how to drive the older cars that run on fuel was formed, who are known as éX-Driver.
